What’s the line between being an “evolving entrepreneur” and being a “scratch-your-head-wondering-what-to-do-next content creator?” I think it’s when you fall into the same old routines. That’s when you need to shake things up, try something new, and stay in the game. These five ways I’m adapting as a content creator during the pandemic may help you discover new opportunities.
1. Understand how to get found, even when social media is ‘down’
As a content creator, it’s important to understand that you can’t control how your audience finds your content. You have to create the best possible content and then do everything you can to be found.
You need to be flexible and willing to adapt your content based on what’s happening in the world. This isn’t just about changing the focus of your content but also ensuring that you can still provide value for your audience, no matter what’s happening in the digital world.
2. Stick to what you know and who your audience is
When you’re building your blog, keep the audience in mind. Know who they are, what they like to read, what they’re interested in. This will help you adapt to the changes that are happening in your industry. You can adapt as a content creator during the pandemic. If you’re not sure what to write about or what your focus should be, it’s important to do your research and figure out who your audience is and what they want to read about.

The thing I’ve learned is that you can never give up. If you’re not the type of person who has built their own audience or platform, then you can still adapt by sharing links and other content on social media — even if it’s not your own. You need to remember that you’re not in control of when the next pandemic happens, but you are in control of what you do when it does. So have fun and don’t forget to “shake things up.”
