The Body Shop Malaysia has just launched its latest collection of fragrances, and it’s all about the flowers! The Full Flowers Fragrances collection is a set of four exquisite scents, each inspired by a different flower and crafted with the finest ingredients to create a unique and long-lasting aroma.
So, why “full flowers” you may wonder? According to The Body Shop Malaysia, each piece in the collection is inspired by a whole flower and contains at least 90 per cent natural ingredients. So it’s crafted by blending notes of soft petals, green leaves, and woody stems plus juicy fruits and sweet resin. The brand promises that as the day advances, these distinctive fragrances will gradually reveal their unique features.
The launch of the Full Flowers Fragrances collection took place at Botanica+Co Bamboo Hills, where media invitees and KOLs had the chance to experience the beautiful scents and blooming flowers. The event was a huge success, with attendees raving about the unique and delightful fragrances.
The Four Scents
Each fragrance in the Full Flowers Fragrances collection has a distinct personality, inspired by different flowers. Here’s a closer look at each scent:
#1 Full Rose
First in the collection is Full Rose, a fragrance that captures the essence of a blooming rose garden with its delicate and romantic floral scent. It features notes of rose absolute, geranium leaf, and cardamom. This scent is crafted with natural rose absolute extracted from rose flowers hand-picked in Grasse, France. This scent represents a fresh and aromatic touch to it.
#2 Full Iris
Next up is Full Iris, a fragrance that celebrates the beauty of the iris flower with its powdery and elegant woody scent. It opens with notes of juniper berry, iris concrete and cedarwood.
At the heart notes of this Eau de Parfum is The Body Shop’s precious iris concrete, extracted from iris stems, grown and harvested over three years in the South of France. This natural extract represents the powdery petals, the piney juniper berries embody the aromatic stems, and soft cedarwood symbolises the woody roots.
#3 Full Ylang Ylang
Full Ylang Ylang is the third fragrance in the collection, and it’s all about the white floral and exotic spicy scent of the ylang-ylang flower. It features top notes of ylang ylang, black pepper and vanilla.
At the heart of this scent is the precious ylang ylang essential oil, extracted from hand-picked ylang ylang flowers on the island of Madagascar. The natural oil represents the plant’s smooth, floral petals in this wonderful new Eau de Parfum. This is blended with fragrant black pepper to represent the spicy aroma of the plant’s branches, and sweet, creamy vanilla to embody the velvety leaves.
#4 Full Orange
Finally, Full Orange Blossom is a fragrance that captures the joy and energy of a sunny day with its vibrant and uplifting scent. One would feel a fresh and citrusy scent when spritzed onto themselves!
It opens with notes of bergamot, orange blossom, neroli and vetiver. At the heart note of this Eau de Parfum is orange blossom absolute, extracted from hand-picked orange flower buds in the Nile region of Egypt. This natural absolute represents the aromatic, voluptuous petals, while fresh bergamot embodies the juicy fruits. This is blended with the woody fragrance of vetiver, symbolising the crisp, green leaves.
This Eau de Parfum comes in a bottle made from recycled glass, with a cap designed to be more sustainable, made of naturally renewable wood and cork. And when you’ve spritzed the last few drops, the bottle can be recycled again.
