This month is quite something! Last week, I attended a virtual global collaboration between Love, Bonito and Barbie® to inspire young girls and women to pursue their limitless potential. The purpose of the social media outreach is to spread awareness about Love, Bonito’s CSR initiative and collaboration with Barbie.
Through this collaboration, LB will be funding the education of 100 girls in low income communities in Asia for a year through a total commitment of USD$30,000 – helping them to build skills to succeed in school and negotiate key life decisions through Room to Read’s Girls’ Education Program.

The Barbie tees writes, ‘Girls Can’ is a testament to belief that young girls’ has the potential to dream it and do it to achieve everything they wish for in their life. The logo illustratration represents the community of girls and women brought together by both Love, Bonito and Barbie® – The collaboration aims to empower young girls and women to pursue their limitless potential.
Through LBCreate, Love, Bonito’s social impact arm, the tie-up will help fund the education of 100 girls in low-income communities in Asia for a year via Room to Read’s Girls’ Education Programme. The Room to Read initiative is to create a world free from gender inequality through the power of education. This is in response to a report by The World Bank which forecasted lower levels of schooling, learning, and future earnings because of school closures in low-income economies.
