How To Make ❛Dalgona Coffee❜/ Whipped Coffee
Known as whipped coffee, the drink is made by whipping coffee + sugar with 2 tablespoons of hot water and whisk. There are two ways to whisk this drink: hand whisk or maker. And if you don’t have a maker at home, the whisk method is you gotta whisk the coffee & sugar for 400X to get it thick and foamy.
Let’s start with the ingredients: All you’ll need is,
- Instant coffee (of your choice) / Indocafe
- Sugar or cane sugar
- Full cream milk
- Ice cubers
Step 1: To make one drink, combine 2 tablespoons granulated instant coffee, 1 tablespoon sugar and 2 tablespoons hot water in a medium bowl. (You can use up to 2 tablespoons sugar for a sweeter drink.)
Step 2: Whip by hand or mixer
Step 3: Whisk until it turns from foamy to frothy to creamy.
Step 4: Add ice cubes to your mug
Step 5: Fill it up 3/4 full cream milk on the ice cubed filled mug
Step 6: Style it on top of your milk and voila!
You are done, aren’t you proud of yourself? By the end of my coffee – mixing – making process, I felt the inner barista in me was awaken because my dalgona coffee was rather a successful one! ahem, does this mean I can open a cafe yet ?? Maybe sometime in the near future.
It’s actually a pretty cool activity to do especially during this lockdown when we have so much of free time in hand, we gotta make the best out of it because life is teaching us to slow down and appreciate the little things in life such as making a tasty whipped coffee at home in a high-end cafe style.
